grEEEn is a Green Building Rating System that will provide a voluntary, code-based, environment-responsive set of criteria to evaluate buildings that are newly constructed and undergoing major renovations.

grEEEn, short for Geared for Resiliency and Energy Efficiency for the ENvironment is a total effort of the Philippine Green Building Initiative, Inc., (PGBI).

grEEEn was initially developed by the technical committees of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Philippines Chapter, the Philippine Society of Ventilating Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers (PSVARE) and the United Architects of the Philippines.

grEEEn is a collection of associated documents and tools which aid designers in developing and achieving green building goals.

grEEEn aims for resiliency, energy-efficiency, occupant well-being, environmental performance and economic returns of buildings using established and innovative practices, standards and technologies through its use as a set of design guidelines.

grEEEn provides one definition, widely accepted by industry for what constitutes a green building.
