GREEEN RATING SYSTEM UNDERGOES UPDATING

It has been eight years since PGBI, with the help of the various member- associations, formulated a green building system for the Philippines known as GREEEN (Geared for Resiliency and Energy Efficiency for the Environment).

Since then PGBI has accredited around 250 GREEEN design associates, design professionals and assessors, and registered some 80 projects.

The Board of Trustees deems it necessary to upgrade and update the current GREEEN rating system considering these present times, the Philippine Green Building Code, the latest standards and latest technologies and best practices.

The updated rating system will be launched on March 10, 2020 during the 10th anniversary of PGBI.

With this mandate, the Committee on the GREEEN Rating System chaired by Ar. Emelito C. Punsalan, co-chaired by Ar.Michaela Rosette Santos, spearheaded the updating of the system to Version 3.0. The first meeting was held last September 20, 2019 at the Architectural Centre Club., Inc.
